Professor Sunita Facknath is a Professor in Sustainable Agriculture, and the former Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Mauritius. She has earned two doctorates, one from the University of Middlesex in UK and one from the University of Mauritius. She is an active researcher, heading several research teams, and supervising student research. Prof Facknath has completed several consultancies for regional and international bodies (EU, FAO, UNDP, UNEP, SADC FANRPAN, CTA), as well as for the Government of Mauritius and local private companies, and has been invited to a large number of international conferences/ symposia in many parts of the world to present her work and/or make keynote addresses. Prof Facknath is also very active in social projects: she was a founder member of the Rotary Club of Ebene Mauritius, and a former Chairperson of the Rotary Foundation Committee and member of the Project Services Committee.

Dr. Arfan Yousaf completed his Ph.D. in Clinical Veterinary Medicine & Surgery from University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Pakistan and Post Doctorate from Cornell University, USA. He is currently serving as professor and Dean in Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, PMAS- Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi, Pakistan. His major research area is dairy diseases especially bovine mastitis caused by bacteria. Dr. Arfan has authored 40 papers in reputed journals and serving as editorial board member of reputed national and international journal.

Prof. Dr. Iqbal Munir has completed his Ph.D. at the age of 34 years from Japan and postdoctoral studies from OPU Japan and MSU USA. Currently Prof. Iqbal Munir is working as Director of the Institute of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering, the University of Agriculture Peshawar-Pakistan and running several projects on Biofuel Production using transgenic technology. He has expertise in enzymology and plant biotechnology. He has the honor to discover a novel enzyme of industrial importance (NADP+-dependent ADH) and was granted with multiple international awards. He has established the Biochemical and Molecular Division at the Institute that has been producing numerous Ph.D./MPhil and BS graduates, training scientists/faculty of different research/education institutes and providing analytical services to agro-business industry and research/ education institutes of the country. He has published more than 100 research papers in reputed journals and has been serving as an editorial board member of repute, and other Board of Governers bodies.

Yusuf Leonard Henuk is a Professor in the Department of Animal Science, Faculty of Agriculture at University of Sumatera Utara (USU), Medan, North Sumatera, Indonesia. He received a Bachelor’s degree (S1: ‘Sarjana’) from the Faculty of Animal Science, the University of Nusa Cendana in Indonesia from 1980-1984. He obtained Master in Rural Science (M.Rur.Sc.) from the University of New England from 1991 – 1995 and continued Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) from the University of Queensland from 1998 – 2001. Both in Australia. He participated in the courses of “Arabic Language” and mainly “Poultry Production and Health” from 15 January – 31 March 2008 organized by the Egyptian International Centre for Agriculture (EICA), Cairo, Egypt. He was a twice Visiting Professor to the Department of Poultry Science, Texas A&M University, College Station, USA (September – December 2010 & 2017). Dr C.J. Sridhara received his Masters and PhD in Agronomy from University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore. He is specialized in water management and irrigation aspects by involving himself in teaching, research and extension activities related to water management. Currently, he is working as Professor and Controller of Examination at University of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences, Shimoga, Karnataka, India. In his prolonged experience as a teacher he has published about 25 international, 20 national level research papers in various journals, published a book on aerobic rice cultivation and participated in various conferences held at Nepal and Colombo apart from being served as a chairman for the conference. He has guided more than 15 masters and doctoral students for their researches specifically on water management aspects served as a reviewer for various national and international journals and serving as an academic council member at UAHS, Shimoga. To recognize his expertise in teaching the Indian Council of Agricultural Researches awarded best teacher award during 2011 also received awards like outstanding achievement award by SAID, held at Nepal, Best scientist award by SLCARP, Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Prof. Bennetzen received his Ph.D. in 1980 from the University of Washington in Seattle. He spent one year as a postdoctoral fellow in a shared position between Stanford University and the University of California at Berkeley. After two years in industry, he became a faculty member at Purdue University in 1983. In 2003, he moved to the University of Georgia to take his current position as the Giles Eminent Scholar Chair of Molecular Biology and Functional Genomics. He has also been a Professor at Anhui Agricultural University since 2016. He has published more than 200 papers in refereed journals. He is an elected Fellow of the US National Academy of Sciences (2004) and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (2005).
